  • Fly into Pittsburgh International Airport. The Oaklander and city of Pittsburgh is about 30 minutes from airport. No need to rent a car - Uber & Lyfts are available.

  • Invited guests are included on the name of the invite. Although we adore your little ones, our celebration will be an adults-only event. Please reach out with any questions.

  • The Duquesne Incline: Ride up for one of the best skyline views in the country, especially stunning at sunset.

  • The Andy Warhol Museum: Seven floors dedicated to Pittsburgh's own pop art icon, right on the North Shore.

  • The Mattress Factory: Immersive, site-specific art installations in a converted warehouse on the North Side — a little unexpected, in the best way.

  • Phipps Conservatory: A stunning botanical garden with rotating themed displays — walkable from the Oaklander, if you're staying nearby.

  • Carnegie Museum of Art: Walkable from the Oaklander, one of the oldest contemporary art museums in the country, with a collection spanning Impressionist masters to modern installations — plus the stunning Hall of Architecture, worth the visit alone.

Many people are often suprised by the nautral beauty and charm of our hometown, some even refer to it as the “Paris of the Appalaicha” — we enjoyed spending time around the city growing up and still feel like we have a good pulse on things to do - please see some things to do below:

Neighborhoods we love:

The Strip District: Wander the stalls on Penn Ave for fresh pasta, Barack Obama’s favorite pancakes (Pamela’s), coffee roasters (La Prima), and produce that's been sold here for generations! Grab a sandwich at Primanti Bros then browse the specialty shops for something to bring home.

Shady Side: Take a stroll down Walnut Street between S Negley Ave and S Aiken Ave for boutique shopping and people-watching. Stop into Cards Unlimited for gifts and cards, or Heat Check for vintage finds and a good Cortado.

Lawrenceville (where our welcome party is!): Butler Street is the heart of it — independent boutiques, vintage shops, and some of the city's best bars and restaurants packed into a walkable stretch. Take a stroll to La Gourmandine for authentic croissants, or grab a pie at Driftwood Oven for some of the best sourdough pizza in the city. It's easily one of Pittsburgh's coolest neighborhoods, and we're thrilled to be celebrating there with you.

Yinzers

If you hear someone say "yinz" this weekend, don't worry — you're not being spoken to in code. It's Pittsburghese for "you all," and it's basically our version of "y'all." A "Yinzer" is proud Pittsburgh through and through — think Steelers black and gold, a soft spot for Primanti's, and zero hesitation calling a hoagie a "sammich." Consider this your crash course: nod, smile, and say "n'at" a few times and you'll fit right in ;)
